A few of the heads I’ve done from August to December 2017
I’d like to begin with saying a huge thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their JataDread journey. I am sorry that I have to do this but my hourly rate will be increasing to £20 as off 1st January 2018. I don’t like having to do this but my study fees have also increased and I use all the money I earn from locking hair to pay for my Yoga studies. I hope you all understand.
Here is some locks that I’ve either started as fresh locks or tidied up since my last post in February 2017. Happy days x
First pic is a close up of a before and after tidy-up of loops. Second pic is a tidy-up and the third is fresh locks. So lucky I get to this work, it is happy work.
Started these locks 18 months ago. They were the shortest locks I have ever started, today was a second tidy-up. Seeing how much they’ve grown and matured is amazing.
Started these locks about 18 months ago. We took a risk, hair very fine and thin, I won’t get involved with extentions, am confident they are unnecessary. 18 months of patience with the maturing journey, locks are naturally thickening and beginning to feel like a human mane of strength.
This is what they looked like, fresh locks April 2015.
Absolutely loved locking these today, been ages since I’ve done a fresh head of locks. lovely person too, had the best weekend.
Just washed them, they feel lovely. Tomorrow, I’ll do some maintenance, parting, matt roots and hand rolling. I’ll do them all again just before the festive break, when I’ll spend time tidying them up.
Locked these back in July this year, this is the first tidy-up. They’re looking fab and maturing extremely well.
Makes me happy when a locked head would like to learn how to maintain their own locks. Happy to share the skill, after all, that’s what’s encouraged in yoga philosophy, known as svatantra.
